Here’s a first, my latest and last DM, whom I shall call #16, quit after a week on the job. I’m calling him #16 for the simple fact I can’t remember his name in what turned out to be the shortest tenured DM I’ve had in the 8.5 years as a driver here. On to number 17.
***update***
I was talking to my shrink, aka my wife, we’ve finally came to an understanding, it’s me that’s the problem, no one else.

Deliver in morning than bounce north 130 miles for a load coming back to Nj.

I think you scared #16 off with the reality check.
Lonesome Thanks this. -

@mitrucker. That question you asked last week about the reimbursements and the extra phone calls had me somewhat concerned. The simple reason for my concern was solely based on the fact I’ve never in my 8.5 years here, ever went through with anything remotely like this breakdown. So, when I looked at my payroll app this afternoon, to the penny, the $1793 worth of expenses I had accrued was there, including the flight back to LA that I paid for but haven’t used yet. The only thing I will be owed will be the Uber ride from Ontario airport to the dealer in Rialto. And, my breakdown pay was also calculated and is also paying on Friday. Admittedly, I was concerned. I put together, with the Mrs. help of course, a concise expense report on Monday, sent it in with a cover letter, not even thinking I would hear a peep until maybe next week, and here it was 2 days later. The only phone calls I made was on Friday asking Rachel in payroll how to go about it, and today back to Rachel thanking her for taking care of this in a timely manner and with no mistakes. The everyday BS I go through with dispatch, no DM, temporary DM and whatever else is just part of the game, things like this is what I look at as the makeup of the company. I have no problem tipping my hat and saying how appreciative I am about this type of thing. It’s been 5 years since I had an issue that needed quick and attentive help from the company, the last time was a medical issue with my wife, both times now Abilene has done everything expected.

That says everything about the company, and the way they stepped up.

Glad to hear it all worked out so easily. Kudos to Abilene.
