Look... if you tell them, you're a cooked goose.... period. They willl 99% surely send you home.
If you keep your mouth shut & let an attorney take care of this, at worst you're at 50/50. If you tell them its a guaranteed 100%.
I'm almost willing to bet, 99% sure, an attorney will take care of this & no one will ever know.
I'm telling you how simple this is. I usually call the ADA myself & take care of these things. Over 34 years, I've only ended up with one speeding on my MVR & it was reduced from..... well, I wont say from what... but was reduced to 1 - 9 over.
One in 34 years.... & I do it myself. Its an easy process.
Hey... if I can do it, I would hope your attorney would be bright enough to take care of one meesly speeding ticket.
I just got a ticket need advice!

The issue is that I don't have money for a lawyer. I have 800 bucks in my account
Instead of looking over my back the whole time i'm with this carrier I'm thinking maybe the best bet is just to tell them tomorrow before I give them the $500 for training so they don't keep that too.
At least if I'm let go tomorrow I can doordash and make some money till I find another job rather then not getting paid for 3 weeks.
The good thing is that I live in NC and the training was 2 1/2 hours from my house I drove to the hotel. -

best of luck, but you know, you HAVE a CDL and you really showed NO respect for that CDL that you have.
you shoulda, coulda followed the speed limit, but you didn't, and got nailed
this will be yet another lesson you have to,learn the hard way.
good luck. -
Team818 Thanks this. -
The other thing is, a 15 over ticket is not the end of the world..close though for someone trying to start out.
If I remember correctly, Schneider will accept for a 15 over..been many years but I read it on their website.
Good luck. -
You say it’s your first ticket in 10 years. Depending on the state you can get that reduced to something else substantially. Most states will give you one ticket for speeding every three years and they’ll let you reduce it to something a lot lower if you get an attorney.
It’ll only cost you a couple hundred bucks to hire an attorney who handles these things and you won’t even have to show up they’ll do it for you. -
Alright guys after talking to my GF and calming down I came to a conclusion
I'm 34 never had a ticket since I got my license at 16 till today.
I'm going to fight the ticket like what is suggested here I read it is around $150-$200 unless they have to go to court.
I don't think I can deal with working here wondering if I'm going to be fired everyday so I'm going to tell them tomorrow the situation knowing I will probably be let go as what is stated above. I can doordash the following day so I can get an income rather then paying these guys $500 just to get let go later and not being paid for 3 weeks.
If I'm let go I'll doordash which I make around 700-800 a week untaxed. fight the ticket and once it's dismissed I'll apply to a different company.
I just don't think I can work for these guys for 3 weeks unpaid after giving them $500 (which I haven't yet its in my backpack) wondering if I'm going to be let go everyday
For those who care I'll update tomorrow on what their response said
