I'm just doing a couple of outsides, so I don't need to dangle an entire wheelset and stress the bags too much. I've been getting one wheelset on two 2x4s to get some weight off the other one and not stress the lug bolts, and getting the inner wheel of the other wheelset on a single 2x4. That puts the outer wheel off the ground and easily removed.
A very bad idea? (Using trailer landing gear to jack up drive wheels)

You'd have to chain the axle to the frame or You'd likely run out of landing gear before the tires got off the ground.
Just buy a dang hydraulic jackRoger McG, Brettj3876, MTN Boomer and 4 others Thank this. -

Because I would be to even post this idea in a thread... But stupidity has no limits
For what its worth .. I hope you atleast nail or screw the 2×4s together if your perching a drive tire on them..
1 last question .. is your life or body parts not worth the cost of a hy jack ???Last edited by a moderator: Jul 7, 2021
