I feel like an accident with injury is statistically unlikely unless you have your face buried in your phone/fall asleep. Ive never gotten even close to sleepy while staying within hours of service. Never even had a close call while driving other than a few surprise brake checks from stopped traffic.
There are a few accidents that happen a lot to new drivers. The one I see the most is when drivers take their trailer over a corner taking out signs, or damaging their trailer. Backing accidents at truck stops are common, they make the lots so tight sometimes. Park in a spot that makes it easier for you to back and also a spot that makes it less likely for someone to hit you as well. Drive appropriately on icy roads. This is when I see 90% of the severe accidents.
What happens to such a truck driver

You guys say trucks don’t kill, but have you ever walked past some in a lot and felt like they were giving you a real hard evil look? That cold hard sniper stare behind the bug spatter and duct tape. Lol!
-
My problem is I am thinking too far in the future. I haven't even touched the truck steering wheel yet.
I will only make a post here when I am at Wilson Logistics base in Montana for training. Bye till then! -
-your stupid, negative friend.
- your taking to heart the words of your stupid friend
-“80000 lbs of killing machine”…only if a killer is at the wheel
-gloom and doom dominates your thoughts
You’re hardwired to fail. So, instead of concentrating on winning, you instead concentrate on controlling the loss.
A winner’s goal would be to be good at what you do. And even if he screws up, as long as he LEARNED from the goof, it’s not losing. Education is never a loss.
Want to be a winner? Drop the loser friends. Avoid the negative talk. Especially when you hear it at the job. Become a better version of you by applying yourself to learning every day. Plan to win. Bring that A Game every time you play.Solo Soul, BoxCarKidd, homeskillet and 1 other person Thank this.
