Honestly, you need to go Freightliner Sport Chassis, you CAN get 4x4, you CAN get up to 505hp, you CAN spec your WB, you CAN get the interior updated and upscaled by many different places. The 4x4 aspect of what you are trying to do kinda dictates the M2, If you were just after a RWD, buy a Cascadia 72" midroof and order a "door" on both sides of the sleeper. Anything other than similar options to these, and you are talking a RIDCULOUS amount of money, just saying. Something like a expediters truck should work just have somebody put two RV entry doors in the back, can't be that hard.

 

If you want 4x4 I would think so. Might be able to get an International crew cab 4x4, but personally I would take the Freightliner.

 

Honestly it would be the easiest/least expensive option with a ton of choices out there, BUT if you REALLY need the room, AND have the whole family along, I think one of the expeditor rigs would be perfect, big "sleeper" lots of storage, outfit it any way you want, most of them are DD13 (good motor) and automatic, They all have long wheel bases, Most of them are single axle, and putting two RV doors, one in each side would literally be an afternoon job with a router and a welder and some lightwall tubing. Easy to run steps all the way back to the rear doors, similar to how I have mine?
