if you wanna lose weight fast, do the opposite of what you did to gain it fast. if you gained weight slowly do the opposite of what you did to gain it slowly and you will lose it slowly. keep it simple, there are too many people getting rich off of making things seem complicated when they are actually very simple. keep it simple, keep moving, just as you gained it little by little you can lose it little by little.

Insulin resistance is the major problem.
If you eat too little you body goes into storage mode.
So intermittent fasting (16 hours fasting and 8 hour window eating.) low carb is best and eat until you are full.
But always consult your doctor.NavigatorWife and DUNE-T Thank this. -
How do you deal with hunger? What about physical fatigue?JoeyJunk and NavigatorWife Thank this. -

As far as fatigue when I was 303 lbs I was always tired and would get out of breath after just a little walking. I was down to 219 this morning and I have plenty of energy and my o2 stats are running at 97 so I don't get out of breath anymore. I'll keep this up until I get below 180 at least.zaroba, Rideandrepair, JoeyJunk and 2 others Thank this. -
I've struggled with my weight my entire adult life. My normal weight hovers around 220 but I've been as high as 253. Best thing so far is intermittent fasting but I will have to try this ketosis thing.

I tried that keto more than few times but never lasted for more than a few days. I was sicken by the view of butter and bacon.
I won't sacrifice a handful of cherries, berries or a juicy peach. I'll eat a slice of cheesecake too!!!
The truth is you gotto move around your bodies. Walk, bike, swim and eat smaller portions.
A handful of rice to that salmon. Not the whole bowl. One long john donut for the coffee in the morning, not three. Two chicken thighs for the dinner, not five.
I used to carry a bike with me and rode at least 1 hour a day. Sometimes every other day but for longer. But if not biking then 10 000 steps. Every day something. It was a drill. I got hooked. From 270 lbs to 220 lbs in one year and I did not count calories.
I stopped, got complacent and I am back to 270lbs again and I keep at that weight but I am 6,5 and 50 years old. Some of it is in muscles, some if it in fat. I bought another bike, nice Trek. I think I'll do the repeat.
P.S.
However, with that keto attempts of mine, I have to confirm that whatever joint pains I might have had in my ankles in the morning, disappeared magically. Also, the body water flushes out to the point of becoming 5-7 lbs lighter in a matter of a few days. But then then you have to test your will power which I did not find for this diet. Also, what I did not like is that I had constipation and could not poop, which I found rather disturbing. Maybe it is a good thing for some people who already went past beyond the point of ability to exercise but then if you are already diabetic or with some health conditions, you had better be careful about it, consult a doctor, so that you would not hurt yourself, as someone indicated earlier. This diet seems to have as many advocates as opponents, it seems.Last edited: Jul 11, 2021
