Well, I am currently working out how to set up my maintenance records online for potential buyers to look at.

I've already organized everything and made notes of customizations and noteworthy service.

Just trying to upload everything and make sure it's read-only, so I don't have to re-upload it. Ritchie Brothers might have a service to document everything like how I am doing, but I don't know that for sure, so I'm doing it myself -for now at least.

    Okay folks,

I think I've set this up properly.

This link should open up view-only folder access to the documents I have gathered on the truck's maintenance history.

I'd appreciate it if a couple of you would see if you can break it. I have a copy on my laptop and I'd rather you break it while I'm in a hotel, than have somebody break it while I'm on the road.

It works for me when I click on each individual file, and all records/receipts are easily readable.

Not sure if I would keep that posted on here though. You don't need everyone knowing your full name/address and what not.

Will anyone buying at Ritchie bro’s even know or care about these docs? I’d probably already sold it on truck paper by now or called around to 5 dealers and asked for the best price and dropped it off.

    Thanks for checking it out.

I'll remove the doc link from the post above now that it's been tested.

I am not terribly concerned about being all secret squirrel about who I am. I'm pretty sure that anyone who really wants it can dig up my information online anyway.

I did take care of that truck, and I want that to be clear to whoever bids on it, or considers buying it out of the auction early.

Not only that, I just got access to my new Crete truck today, and an going to do an official inspection with the shop now to sign off on it, so I'm not losing a whole lot of time.

Does anyone even look for that stuff at auction?

I’ve looked at several trucks on auction, and if they had any maintenance documentation in them I always looked it over.
