Not right now, at least.
They want over 100k for a 3-4 year truck with 300+ miles on it. I'd rather do nothing or become a company driver to wait when they're back to 50-60k, if not less. Or indeed order and wait for a new. They say expected delivery February or March 2022, if ordered now but they don't really have a clue.
Back order on Parts?

I had to wait 6 months to receive a new cook top for my house.
This thread is definitely interesting. I’m curious how many trucks are going to come off the road due to it. Seems like everyone already knows someone who it’s happened to. Which is far more people then the old covid threads when asked if you knew anyone who’d had it. -
I know of a few folks who've received layoffs due to no work because materials are not arriving on time. The demand for the products is stong, just no way to produce them.

This all gets me worried about breaking down and not being able to get it fixed. I have a 2 year old truck in great condition, but ####t happens.
Speaking of shortages, anybody tried to rent a car lately? My old truck died a couple weeks ago and I'm in the process of getting a replacement. In the meantime, tried to rent a car and there are none available. I wound up renting a U-haul pickup for $40 per day plus .99 cents per mile. Been driving it over a week now. Not putting many miles on it, but I hate driving a billboard.dwells40, bzinger, Ruthless and 1 other person Thank this. -
We've been down for 34 days. Was told 3 months for a bumper, we found one that although it isn't what we wanted, will have to suffice. Headlights we were told 2 months maybe, so we shopped and found some that will hopefully work.
Of course covid is to blame for everything.JoeyJunk, bzinger, Flint1 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well. When the world shuts down and is struggling to get back on its feet.
And people not caring about vaccines.
Starting to hear about a few people who rolled the dice. And lost..Last edited: Jul 11, 2021

In the last couple months I sold alot of farm equipment. Some of the equipment I sold for more than I paid new. Not only are there shortages, but I think a big thing that is driving the high prices is inflation. inflation seems to be out of control in almost every sector. Building materials, food, homes, fuel, tolls, everything. At first I was very excited about the money I made. Now I find everything I want to buy with the money cost more.
