Thanks for the info. The school I attended did not have any recruiters come in. After contacting companies they don't even approve of the school I attended haulage network trucking located in Milton and burlington. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone either.

first thing Are you at least 21 years old because of insurance no one will hire .unfortunately with the school you went with i think your going to have to try a smaller company like one who hauls containers try the brampton area . equipment will be junk but if you can get 1-2 years experience that will open up more doors .Or like me suck it up and and see if you can do what’s called a refresher course at a school the big boys use . when schneider said we dont hire from your school and i called everyone else .i called them back and said what if i did a refresher course at one of your pick of schools . they said yes and you would be reimbursed but after spending another $3500 for the course they said sorry we can’t pay u back because you didn’t do the full course.i got screwed but had no other options if i wanted to get hired

Great thanks for the info. I am getting jobs but with 1 year contracts to sign. I find it quite difficult to accept the contract because of the conditions they entail. But I think I might just accept and get thru the year with them since I can't find anything else atm.

When you're new you basically gotta take what you can get for the first year. New drivers are a huge risk to companies. 60% of new drivers have an accident in their first year. I also did a 1 year contract with challenger. One year goes by a lot faster than it seems. It's also the hardest part of your trucking career.

You can probably find a job without a one year requirement, but they are difficult to find.

bark77, Simonpete and Phantom Trucker Thank this.

Gordon did call for an interview but never got back. Highlight requires 1 year contract to sign. What do you think?
That's exactly what I'm experiencing. The training school I went to isn't good enough for these companies. Now I'm getting opportunities where I'm asked to sign 1 year contract with them.

Go to Gordon. You will be compensated for your time and miles better than any trucking company. Highlight is known for working folks like rented mules. A good way to screw up your license.

There are few questions before I can help with this.

    What's your age?
Can you go to the states?
Are you okay to work long haul/ flatbed/ reefer?

You can DM me if you want? I'm a driver myself and I can understand the frustration.

PS: Don't apply at Bison, Highlight and GWL.

I second this, Gordon is changing things up, cause they've come to realize the "endless driver pool" is done and other with. They will invest in you, and you are going to make 2-3X as much as OTR, with 0 Expenses of living on the road. They also have Local/Regional/Switch/LCV and Transfer driving jobs, so there is room to move around.

Highlight, Bison, TransX, Arnold Bro's, Day and Ross, Rig Logistics, Transpro, XAN, Liberty Linehaul, Pluto, Trappers, IHaul, TransFrt, J&R Hall, etc etc etc its all the same OTR by the mile, slave show, never home, poverty BS. #### THEM.

If you're willing to go to work these days, you deserve better, because MILLIONS!!! aren't even getting out of bed anymore.

    SEE!!!

When you are on the road and start meeting all these drivers you'll get to know the real truth.
Go to Flying J or Esso outside the city. You'll meet drivers who'll be able to talk to you for 5-10 mins and might give you actual feedback (No BS)
