That’s pretty irresponsible of them to cut you loose with a flatbed when you’ve got little to no training on one.
I’d be looking for a new employer immediately. Here’s why: DOT aren’t going to give a #### about your story when they stop you for some load securement violation. The fine and citation will go to you and now it’s on your record for any future employers to see.
It’s not worth it man. Find a carrier that plays it straight.c.w and upnorthwpg Thank this. -
The Winnipeg area is going down fast. another new company pops up, employs drivers with no training, cant provide them with training. thinks they will push out big local players with their fly by night nonsense. end up hauling cheap extra broker freight. looking at you kings cargo now turned to Lavish transport post bankruptcy.
if your serious about the flatbed sector of the industry, you need to work for a company that will train you, since you have no training. gone are the days listening to the old boys and taking pointers from them at the coffee counter. If this is something you really want you need to act on it. no one will hand it to you.
