I broke down on the way to this Appointment with TSC Tractor Supply CO. I am and O/O with my Own Auth. I got back on road last Sat got to Macon sitting at Loves looking at the DC for TSC.
Anyway the Broker is Swift and I told my Broker assistant last Friday that I would be on the road on Sat and he said he would advise Account rep and get appointment or workin going for ASAP when I arrived.
So left messages an emailed on Sat and Sunday spoke to Swift person all of which I was told they emailed TSC person and they would probably be off till monday and waited for their response.
Monday at 12:30 Pm told that I had an appointment for Wed at 7PM I went to gate and guard said wow that long of a wait. He said couldn't help me but was nice.
Any advice on how to get this mooving? or if at least I can charge Swift for making me wait 5 days after getting here?
I know it was my breakdown but that wasn't on purpose. I think I'm being punished for late show but not sure. only been O/O for 6 months.
Thanks,
Stuck at TSC in Macon GA on a Swift load , Any advice?

I think you’re pretty well beat. Like you said you are the one who missed the original appointment. Now you have to wait on the new appointment.
I 100% agree that they’re screwing with you, but i don’t see any other option but to deal with it and never do work for Swift again.
Hopefully there are no penalties in the contract for late deliveries. If there are, you may sit all week and have ran the load for free on top of that. -

Not sure about TSC in Geargia but the one in Waverly NE is great about rescheduling and or working you in. They may be really busy or Swift is ####ing with you. They may have told TSC you wouldn’t be there until Wednesday night.
Call the DC and try to be convincing that you are there and if someone is a no show slide ya in.Dino soar Thanks this. -

That may not be up to Swift to find another vacant appointment slot. I does not matter who the broker is... You miss appointments at those mega DCs then this is what you can expect. Your fault or not. You are not punished, that's how it is.
Walmart, Target, Starbucks, Walgreens, Costco...so on.Dino soar, 86scotty, slow.rider and 2 others Thank this. -
Breakdown sucks. Another truck dispatched by my adventure coordinator had a similar problem last week. 2 drop. Wal-Mart first then a cheap warehouse. 4th of July breakdown leads to day late at the WM DC but we called the DC to reschedule. Broker was on vacation. Monday we call the broker to reschedule the 2nd drop. Broker looses his **** that we went around him contacting the DC directly. BUT... we got the reschedule for the next day so whatever dude...but now the broker is being a jerk about the reschedule for the 2nd drop. Says it's going to be 8 DAYS..... um... NO. Our driver goes over and inquire with the warehouse directly and gets an apt 15 hours later.
So was the broker intentionally going to have our trailer hostage for 8 days? Being a jerk? Did the warehouse really tell them 8 days? No way to know. But time is $ and the trip over face to face would be worth the fuel probably. And if the shack can't answer the question then have them get you a phone number who can. I wouldn't be above slipping the clerk candy bars or 10$ bills. If it saves you a day by showing how much it means to you? Totally good investment IMOJust passing by, Spinner1, slow.rider and 1 other person Thank this. -
