eat a huge dinner then roll over and giggle, lights out! full belly is the best sleep aid for me. if i'm rushed for rest and still can't sleep it's nyquil + earplugs + AC as cold as it goes + all of the blankets

Stop taking unnecessary ibuprofen (Advil PM). Advil & Tylenol contain ibuprofen. Ibuprofen is hard on your liver. You can overdose and create permanent liver damage by exceeding the max recommended dose by just a little bit.

Since you are not needing the pain relief to sleep you should take just the dyphenhydromine, which is the sleep or PM portion of Advil/Tylenol PM.

All of the other common over-the-counter pain relief medicines are pretty safe even if you take multiples of the max safe dose. Ibuprofen creates permanent damage by taking a little more than the max safe dose.

You can get dyphenhydromine is any OTC sleep aid. You can get it as tablet or liguid, liguid works faster. Your body and sleep will become conditioned to both if you take them routinely so be very slow to increase routine dose.

Easy way to get an ulcer too, taking ibuprofen daily. I broke my foot last summer on the 4 wheeler and ibuprofen was the only thing that made a dent in the pain. Tylenol and aspirin did didily squat so i loaded up on ibuprofen for a few months. Bad idea. At 27 years old i developed an ulcer that took over 4 months to clear up.

I also will take a melatonin or PM otc medicine if needed for daytime sleeping but maybe the most helpful thing I do to run nights is wear the cheap yellow tinted polarized sunglasses. Any darker tint blocks out too much light imo and they just make it sooo much easier on your eyes. Darkening instrument panel and gps helps too. After that I went from not caring for night driving to loving it. It just wasn’t a chore anymore.

Put in a movie you've seen a 1000 times. Asleep in 10 minutes.
