Still waiting for that Saudi Prince to get the runway cleared to fly all of the gold out. He said it shouldn't be long now.

 

I tried hard but still need more time.
At least I can afford to have a millionaires' drink tonight.

 

As of today I'm officially a real estate mogul. I went on Zillow.com and looked up the estimated value of my home, and it said 1.1 million. I was kind of floored. Paid $400k for it in 2000 so I'd say that's a pretty good ROI.

The wife and I are both dealing with ailing elderly parents. Her mom is in the ER as I type this with pneumonia, and my mom fell and broke her back a couple months ago which is doing great, but it looks like she picked up a staph infection during her hospital stay and that has us all more worried than the fracture. My dad has Parkinson's, but he's dealing with it and is still is active and self sufficient while taking care of my mom. We're talking about selling all three of our homes and buying a family compound with multiple homes (or one giant home) on acreage, perhaps south central Oregon where the weather is mild. That way we can take care of them and they can stay at home with family. Then when the parents have all passed on our kids can move in and take care of us when the time comes. At least it sounds good in theory. Looking at homes now in Central Point. I hear the streets are paved with gold there.

 

Sometimes I dream i’m a millionaire, can I join?
