I have a 2015 Peterbilt with a mx-13 engine. I need an intake nox sensor and my local dealer says it will be 4-6 weeks and that is just an estimate. Anybody have any idea of what else I can do other than wait?

Get the part number and start calling kennys and peterbilts in an ever widening circle around you. If you find one buy it and have it overnighted to the dealer your at. You can also look for used ones or aftermarket to limp with till you find a new one.

Also if a nox sensor failed id have your EGR checked. It can be a symptom of a clogged system and your EGR may need a clean.

Nox sensors, DPF pressure sensors, DEF quality sensors, exhaust flex pipes, DPFs, clutch ECAs are all coming up frequently on B/O. Paccar is all but done giving ETAs on parts due to unreliability. Naturally the top fleets purchasing trucks are gonna get first pick, which is too bad. Leaves the little guys struggling.

The core engine itself was imported from DAF Europe. The components attached to it and the engine was adapted and modified to meet North america EPA standards. All of the aftertreatment components are actually provided by Cummins for all of the MX engines since production began in 2009.
