If you're interested in any of the companies I posted, call and ask if they hire from 160.

Flat Earth Trucker and Ro~Bear Thank this.

No problemo with drug tests and I'm just looking at all the options. But I used to be a telecom drive test engineer and drove all over the country and I loved it. Wouldn't mind some kind of long distance loop route and be home on weekends.

By the way, thanks for all these suggestions~ Looks like I came to the right place for good answers!

I read online somewhere fleets can now check potential drivers on a database if they have previously failed a drug or drink test drink being Alcohol , might not be valid in All 48 states I think also the American trucking Association are praising this as well

I recommend you find a company with a good reputation, good pay, goes where you want to run, and then see decide about school. The company may have their own school, or they may only hire newbies from certain schools. The job is far more important than the school. You wouldn't likely pick a wife based on which church offered the cheapest wedding ceremony.

Whoa, the level of wit is profound and the point made is valid. And the truth is, if I become a trucker, I won't have time to meet a wife anyway :)

Sure you'll have time to find a wife; I've done it several times.
