Hey so I recently tried with Schneider and was told it s not happening with them because of an incident/accident I had previously.
Long story short took a wrong turn when following the GPS ended up on a road I couldn`t quite make the turn on and landed two of my rear axels on the passenger side in a trench so I couldn`t reverse and ended up having to be pulled out by a wrecker No damages to the tractor or trailer and no injuries or tickets but it s on my permanent record.
Am I going to be able to find a company that hires me with a months experience or should I just kiss my CDL goodbye already due to a bad mistake?

Stevens Transport, or another mega I would think. You will have go to out with the Trainer again. They will be ALL over your routing, backing, trip planning, situational awareness, probably 4 weeks, but if you can't back the trailer, or you go over the curbs with the trailer, you will do the whole 6 weeks training again, and then, here's the BIG one, micromanaged like you would NOT believe.
Then in 3 to 6 months no mistakes. Switch to a company that doesn't call you 12 times a day. -
Dockbumper Thanks this.

I recently went through something like this helping a guy that yanked a GPS boner. He did several thousand worth of damage and had to be towed out. Step by step we went over his critical thinking as it lead up to the situation.
I am not going to bust your balls on this. Hopefully, you see now just how quickly one bad mistake not corrected can start a cluster of bad decisions that WILL lead to an accident.
That GPS is ONLY a tool. Sometimes I like to use aviation examples. Most pilots that burn kerosene also use weather radar. A fantastic tool that also has gotten many pilots killed over the years. Funny to hear that I bet! This is because weather radar has a serious weakness that can get a pilot in trouble FAST! I'm not going to spend the time typing what is in this PDF!
Hand, your OK. pay attention in the future and stop using that GPS as your primary means to locate an address. If you keep doing that you will find yourself flipping burgers at Joe's Diner and Brothel soon! -
It's sad to say this, but as far as we've come, if there was no damage, I would have called a wrecker , and paid for it myself. While I realize, wrecker bills can top $1000 bucks, it almost seems worth it compared to what this will do to their record. A new driver with an "incident" looks pretty bad.
