I feel very fortunate tonite. Of the 5 of us in the driver's trailer, I am the only one who's truck is done and released to go back to work. One guy has been there 5 days and his has been a yo-yo in and out of the shop the whole time. Another driver has been there almost as long, and his is still in the shop. A 3rd came in for only an A service and his bad-boy camera wasn't working. Came out with a dash full of idiot lights, so he has to go to the Detroit shop. And another who is suppose to be getting a new truck, but the one they assigned him out of SLC wasn't even stickered or plated for the road, so he proceeded on east with his load...and now his oil pan gasket is leaking (an oil pan that had already been replaced not long ago) and the company shop can't do the work, so they sent him to Detroit too. I got my A, a new DPF filter and a new inverter. Now if we could get the tranny shifting right, I would have a decent ride...the opti-idle has been working right most of the time lately....knock on wood
*And* they took me off the load to Plainfield that delivered Thursday evening and put me on a load to Morris, IL for Thursday morning. It's a few less miles, but unloads early enough to have time to squeeze in one more load before payroll cutoff if my A/M can work his magic.

Well, the sacrifice of taking this shorter run that delivers earlier didn't do much for this weeks miles but I am getting a jump on next week. After delivering to Morris IL in the morning, I head up to the Kenosha area and pu a load going to the Jiffy Bake oven zone...aka Phoenix for a Monday morning delivery. And, the heat wave is supposed to drop back some in the Phoenix area Sunday into next week. Only gonna be in the 90's instead of maxing out the mercury.
