Not like driving a real truck in any sense. Too much like a video game that gets too many things wrong and missing.
It's like driving a car vs. a NASCAR racing game.
There is no positive input in your environment.
No g forces, no peripheral vision, no road feel, no perception depth to speak of, no real world sounds... and the list goes on.MACK E-6 Thanks this. -
You can get cameras on the new 579. You have your regular mirror and small spot mirror below it, then below the small spot mirror you have one or two cameras per side, I forget exactly. Then on the inside you have a monitor on each windshield post. You’d already be looking towards the mirrors when you’re looking at the camera.

it also beeps and flashes arrows when something is to the side.. Before it comes in to camera view.
I don't turn my head anymore. -
As a test bed for a class 8 truck, that's not a bad route. Plenty of summer heat, and some fairly low temps coming over Donner in the winter.
At least we know the brakes work.... -
I have used a camera mounted on the back of a vehicle to hook up a hitch. It worked very well..If you have a problem with mirrors , how are you going to blind side in to a dock. That is 1 advantage of the fender mirrors
Cowboyrich Thanks this.
