Went to pick up a load of axles this morning at Lippert in Goshen, Indiana. Right off the jump the loader seems to need an attitude adjustment.

I nicely ask him, do they provide the dunnage or do I need to use mine? His response was with full attitude that they don't use dunnage and none of the other drivers ever do. So I tell him, I dont care what the other drivers do, I'm not laying them axles directly on my deck. He proceeds to tell me I better hurry because he has 20 trucks he needs to load.

So I start putting dunnage out and once again with extreme attitude he basically starts snapping that its not gonna work because he has to stagger the load.

So still trying to be nice I asked him how many stacks of axles am I getting? Once again attitude and he claims "he doesn't know".

Put my dunnage away and told him goodbye. I'm not arguing or dealing with people that want to pop off attitudes, be argumentative, and just flat out be difficult.

The broker called me on this load yesterday because he couldn't get it covered. Now I see why, the reviews on Google for this place are terrible as well.

Pictured is similar to what I would be loading. Its gonna be loaded my way or not at all, I certainly ain't gonna end up like this guy.

Heck yea man. Good on you for standing up for yourself and your equipment. There’s too many loads out there to hang your head and try to deal with that retard. More people need to do this.

Good on ya - I’ve done the same thing once, for the same reason.

    Best feeling ever.

That's the greatest thing about being a o/o! You can have that F U mentality when you need to and don't have to explain to nobody.

I love loading my own trailer. No way in hell would I put that crap on my deck with no dunnage, in fact I thought that was illegal.

Ugh, ive pulled outta those places, that one specifically. Something to bear in mind, at 12.50 an hr, youre not getting excellent people at what they do, and they usually have the brains and attitude to match their pay.

Thats not an excuse, but even at the best of times, those loads suck balls

My phrase was "you might put it on someones truck, but it's not going to be mine"
