7 dead, several injured in Utah

Don't people know how to pull off the highway in a dust storm? Apparently not.

 

Drivers like to drive in bundles of all kinds of cars, pickups, rv's, motorhomes, don't distance, stayed to long at mom and dads, hate living in LV so they put off leaving until the last minute, meaning they speed on the freeway in a cluster, one problem and a pile occurs. New big rig drivers take heed. You need to use the exit ramps and get away from the public if the horizon is black, light to dark brown, like dirt, or lighting coming down from very heavy nasty looking clouds, 40 mile an hour wind or more. Use your weather technology, if you don't have it please check into getting the most outstanding, and highly rated apps and systems. It could save your life. Look at this MESS. There used to be alot less traffic, not that long ago folks, like 12 years, less in some areas, we have been invaded by immigrants now, most are not even know to the gobberment. Its almost a GIVEN that in sky's like this, there is going to be a PILE UP. Over 50% probably. Espeically on Sunday's, people going home after a weekend at the parents place, or fishing boats, rv's out the wahzoo, and thousands of little cars.

 

i don't know how fast a sand storm hits. i do know how fast a snow squall can, and there ain't no escape.

so, unless anyone can elaborate on the speed and suddenness of a sand storm, i'm guessing they had no time.

 

I think you are talking about a dust devil almost knocking you off the road? You can see them coming across the desert there, then they blow you sideways, lift you up. Is that what you mean? It could have came across the desert, gaining power, speed, through the lead car into the semi or rv, or people be booping and not paying attention, they took out a vehicle, so on. I can see that occurring. People in a hurry, don't want to return to work. Oh yea. Good Day.

 

What a mess

 

For those of you whom havent done it? (yes I have, several times) It is a brown fog or in the winter white out conditions. We are supposed to reduce speed and move to the right. Alas there are so many interesting drivers out there that think its only 50 feet deep and they will pop out the other side.

This blew in in just a few seconds. Lasted a few minutes. West Tx.

 

Proper thing to do is pull off the freeway as far as you can. Turn off all lights. If you can see it up ahead, try and do this before running into it.
