Rant: The 5-days-in-a-row workweek is arbitrary and my body doesn't agree with it

Nothing wrong with OPs schedule, everyone knows how their own body operates. Personally I find 5 days a week is where I feel best, 6 days with 36 hours reset isn't sufficient for me at least. Ideally I would love to work 4 days a week and have 3 off. What's the point of trucking your life away for money that you'll barely get to enjoy? Atleast that's the way I see it.

Dairy farms are 7 days a week. Your schedule would not be Approved by the cows. An 8 hour a day shift was the normal factory shift . And that included 2 breaks and lunch. Weekend s off.

You probably read more of the limp wristed new age whining than I did. My partner and I typically stay out 3-4 weeks before 1 of us takes time off. Then another 3-4 weeks till the other goes home. Then again us "old guys" have the mentality of earning our way.

Not all of us younger guys dont like to work ya know. I stay out 3-12 weeks depending on if i actully need to get home for something or not. I like seeing the green flow. Granted its mostly been flowing into my green truck but regardless.

I wish my schedule was a matter of choice. My life situation demands that I make as much as possible, OTR for months if necessary.
