Rant: The 5-days-in-a-row workweek is arbitrary and my body doesn't agree with it

    I was fortunate. When I was 18 (1987)and in the guard, the “old timers” taught me well.

    I remember being awe struck by the thought of their lives when they were in their 40`s and up. They had everything. They got a decent job and worked hard when they got back from `nam

    I never had a life until I was 40. Now for the last 12 years, I’ve been running around the country putting money in the bank. Everything else is paid off

    Some of us listened. I try and do the same when I can. But times have changed

    I'd do the Uber/Lyft thing is I wanted to set my own schedule.
    I know people that make $350 - $400 a day using both Uber & Lyft apps at the same time.

    thats the only thing i miss about grocery delivery. i had the same mon-fri (weds off) schedule. it was great.

    i work 5 days now, albeit a lot less hours total. id work 4 days if theyd let me.
