Look at the PAM truck there, did it burn down? I can kind of see the front in of the inferno truck. Is that a old pete or ken... could have been a o/o.... poor guy.

Yeah, the picture taker said the Pam truck did catch on fire.

If I was the Pam driver and walked out to see the state of things at the moment this picture was taken, I don't think I can say I'd jump in the truck to try to save it.

That is what the firefighters call "fully involved".

Me either. More than likely I’d turn around and go back inside for another cup of coffee.

Another picture I saw after fire was put out shows a new model Volvo, which appears to have started the fire, next to the PAM truck. Ouch

Man, I dunno about y'all, but I got a bunch of my own crap in my truck. The loss of clothes and bed linens alone would be a major setback, to say nothing of losing my trucker GPS, my laptop, my books, and various personal mementos from my kids. I would indeed make a significant effort to save all that stuff.

I like my stuff too. But none of it is worth getting badly burned or killed. Fire changes dramatically, seemingly instantaneously. Not gonna risk getting blasted by it when it's progressed to the point of that picture even though it's still next to the Pam truck instead of on it at that point.

If it was fire extinguisher size that'd be different.

Agreed… I live in my truck.
While it can all be replaced, I’d have to try.

    4mer trucker Thanks this.
