If you read the article you will see the reason for this accident was climate change caused by drought.

Those dust storms and mud storms, heavy fog, are really really bad.

Just like the fact that we no longer have forest fires (usually some genius throwing out a cigarette), we now have "climate fires" :D

I can't make any statements about climate change but common sense going down with avalanche speed. Drove I-80 West in WY same day. Every construction lane closure was like 3 -5 miles backup because people so stupid to read and obey signs. WYDOT is stupid to put signs just 1/4 mile before lane closure

I just had the same painful experience two days ago. What's that? Merge ahead? Better hit the brakes and move into the lane that's ending!

Colorado's signs are worse. They usually put up a stupid sign that says, "USE BOTH LANES TO MERGE POINT." Yeah, that's going to help.

    Snailexpress Thanks this.

I was pretty impressed by the Associated Grocers truck pulling turnpike doubles who managed to stop without hitting anything. But it looked like someone else hit his second trailer from behind.

I think there's signs in New Mexico on 10 saying to put on flashers but keep moving if a sandstorm hits, but DO NOT stop. Whether anyone actually follows that God only knows. I was on 70 east of Denver once when a hailstorm came up. The 4wheelers were crowding under an overpass and stopping in the travel lanes

Bud A. and Team818 Thank this.
