Always coming up with new names.
    What's wrong with:
    Not bad
Sorta bad, but no big deal
    Kinda bad, check your tarp.
Pretty bad. But should be awesome on the back porch.
Just bad. Take yo ### inside.
Really bad. Plan to be without electricity or satellite for a while.
Get yo ### in the basement.

    No basement?
    Man, that's rough.
    Good luck.

    Simplied. Direct. Meaningful.

    I should be in charge

One year tornado warning and it passed about 1/4 mile from my house. Went out into Lake Michigan, first time i've seen a waterspout.

I seem to attract them lol.
1965 coon rapids mn one turned my dads house on the foundation.
1976 in Hudson wis one sucked the roof off our house .
2011 I lived in joplin mo for that one and no damage at my house but flattened everything a half mile away .
Narrowly missed several more in Kansas, Nebraska , Iowa and Illinois while on the road .

The one that came by the house i had no warning. Satelite TV didn't have the local channels at that time. First i knew was when i heard it. Have seen quite a few, some pretty close. Coming from Orange City IA to Hospers IA one night and there were a couple touching down. Emergency station was giving locations, kept cutting off on side roads, so dark you couldn't see anything. That was a lot of fun. LOL

I do have a healthy respect for them and these days it's much easier to stay abreast of the weather .
When I was a kid in Wisconsin I worked for a farmer and he knew when bad weather was on the way .
