Assuming that something happens that makes someone unable to drive, even if it's short term.....

Is there any kind of training/certification needed to go to the other side and be successful as a dispatcher or broker?

For now, there aren't any problems, my mom jokes that she started "falling apart" at 40 with major medical issues. My dad wasn't far behind. Both are disabled at this point. My sister and I are well past that 40 point. There may come a point where I may have to come off the road to take a more active role in their care, or I may have the same problems that disqualify me from driving.
