You can always call me and we can yell at each other or something.

Yeah, concur on this. If anything, I want fuel prices back down.

Anyone else getting hit with full retail on parts? I was getting 20-40% off depending on what it was, but not today.

Yeah and I shop on the internet and cut the greedy parts guys out when I can. A few days ago Freightliner locally wanted $175 for a replacement horton 3 way solenoid that controls my engine fan and wouldn't come off the price. Found it online at a place called JIT out of Louisville, KY for $125 + shipping. Not the first time I've had parts shipped for cheaper from JIT. Heck I've freighted stuff to my house from them for cheaper than having to waste 3 hours of my life driving back and forth to some overpriced heavy duty parts place nearby acting like they're doing me a favor waking from a nap and looking up something on the computer.

That's ok if you don't figure a least 1 day downtime

Truth. Just depends on what it is though. I buy wholesale duct tape and zip ties so i can make it home sometimes. I just run weeks usually so when I'm out and need something I have it shipped to the house the moment I realize it. Usually it's waiting on me when I get there.

Doesn't nearly always work though. If trucks broke when we wanted them too this would be the best job in the world.

Yeah this was my solenoid one of the wires got pulled out of it and I limped it like that a while The harness was just a hair too short and kind of tight and pulled it out. Had to splice some extra wire in there to give it some slack. And Freightliner's replacement part number was the wrong part. The polarity was reversed which makes it pop the 15 amp fuse between the battery and the ECM as soon as you key on the truck. It also burns up the diode inside the solenoid ruining a $175 part that they of course take no blame for and refuse to refund money. They were useless answering why it did that or how their system was giving me the wrong part number. Horton has good customer service tho.

Prototype? Looks like a eyesore wrap job. I saw a hurricane express with the same wrap.
