Well, could be but I’ve saw some Ford prototype trucks wrapped in this same type of camo. Supposedly it helps other companies not be able to see the shape of the body as good. :shrugs:

It’s one of the new 579’s. Hurricane, TMC, and some others had some of the early test trucks and they were wrapped like that.

    Midwest Trucker Thanks this.

I've heard and seen that too. I'm not sure about this one. But, I can tell you this, why do they bother? There's just two types of trucks out there. All plastic trucks look alike and so do all hoods.

There is a wine hauling company here in NorCal call Skikos Trucking, and every one of their trucks has a custom paint job. Some of them are really bizarre and I wouldn't be caught dead driving them.

Those are pretty hideous. I'm not sure why companies do stuff like that. Big money for one 'oh wow' moment. I just don't get it. Those wraps are thousands per vehicle now.

    PPDCT and PoleCrusher Thank this.

Paccar redesigned the 579 and the 680 because of the Phase 2 greenhouse gas standards. The updated ones are hitting the roads now. Production should be switched over by now.

Decided to match you up...and took a supplemental local load today which with deadhead to the shipper and then back from the receiver is 300 miles long and pays $1250.

    IL-PA - $3400 (750)
    PA-WI - $1725 (800)
    IL-IL - $1250 (300)

This last July load will put with the net of $100 000 YTD - before I pay myself, which does not matter as all the money goes back to me.
I never made so much this fast within a year. For me, personally, $100 000 is a symbolic threshold where a full time o/o is achieving respectable results. This is the second time in a row for me, which only attests to the exceptional times on the spot market in the recent times. I do realize that contest wise, I may not be the leader but I am glad I was able to take advantage of it so far.
