I think the reason why fm isn’t used in the 11 meter band here in US is the National Telecommunications and Information Administration. -

Just like TV antennas don't care about digital vs analog signals. TV is still the same frequencies that it's always been. Just the TYPE of signal sent at those frequencies is different. This is why there is no such thing as a digital "HD" antenna. The old TV antennas work perfectly well with the new digital signals. You just need the proper receiver inside the house to convert the digital signal into a picture. Whether or not the signal is HD or not is determined by the transmitter, not the antenna on the receiver.Last edited: Aug 1, 2021
