Left the house Wednesday morning and drove the 48 miles due west for a load of sugar going back to Richmond. I’ve loaded there a good 18 times since my arrival at Abilene. Usually 2 hours start to finish. Not this time. I was able to get in a split sleeper break, then wound up 60 miles north of the house taking my 10 in a rest area. Woke up Thursday morning in a foul mood. But, my back was feeling good, did my exercises and started my day. Called in about 11 with my eta and to get all involved with an outbound load.

Friday morning I woke up 100 miles south of the mothership. Got to the yard, put the truck in the shop just so they could check that priceless clamp that was replaced in California. Then got a Hill load to Seattle. Grabbed a shower and while in the shower admiring my 65 year old physique, my phone blows up and the app starts singing. C.O.P. An LTL load was being put together at the loading dock. First drop, West Memphis yard Saturday to drop off 6 skids, second and third drops in Santa Clara and San Francisco, fourth drop Portland and final in Seattle. I’ll need a reset when done on Thursday. Love these loads. Takes a week to complete, 4 extra stop offs and 4080 paid miles.

Just asking, but if you wanted to, could you pass on that preplan, obviously you accepted it, and they sent you the load assignment, but, could you have, does Abilene Motor let drivers refuse a load like that, all those pinko states like that.

Technically we are forced dispatch. that being said, drivers do refuse loads. In the 8.5 years here, I’ve never refused a load. Even when they give me a Brooklyn load. This particular load I’m on is a big money load for both the company and myself. These loads I have done in all types of weather. It’s part of the job.

Thank you, you are a Great Driver. I don't want to work for companies that go to Ca, Or, Wa, NY, chicaggo are, soon minneapolis too, I know what you are thinking, good luck finding a job, right? I am still looking, but only dedicated accounts that do not go to the areas I mentioned. Its not for me. Thank you again. You are amazing.

Everyone complains about Chicago.I don't go there any more, but a few years back, the company I worked for had a yard at 65th and Central, just south of Midway. Was there at least 4 times a week, sometimes 5-6. You learn where to go, and where not to go.Traffic sucks anywhere you go these days, I don't believe traffic there was any worse than Indy, Milwaukee, etc.

I know it does, but I don't like the attitude of most of the people anymore in these areas. I will be concentrating on Companies that have a dedicated route, not a dedicated customer. Some lie about that you know. Oh yes, we have dedicated routes, you betca. Oh great can you name me one or more, well lets see, my computer is slow, stand by, well we have a western dedicated it runs to ( here we go ) Illinois, calibozo, oregontard, washingtondip, and in those states they are s francisco, portland, seattle, chicaggo, oakland, LA, we have a cross dock customer in downtown houston, etc etc. Occassionally we will run you to miami when no one else will... so yes dear applicant we have dedicated routes, we just don't know what dedicated route you will be forced on at any given time, I would be purely guessing, ah ha ha ha.. So when can I book you a room for Orientation? Hello.... Hello.... Dear Applicant.... Oh NO... I think I lost this chap.... oh my goodness this will never do... I must call my supervisor... Hello mr bossadippshot.... I am THROUGH. I just, well, I can't lie like a mangy kerr anymore. Send my last check to my home address. I am done. I think I will recruit for teachers in the PRIVATE School System. At least its HONEST.... GOOD BYE
