    Yes.
Here sum of axle loads is almost always higher than gvw and sum truck And trailer gvw higher than gcw, si we sre care free of weight distribution problems.

Here in my country, fines for axle overload goes up exponentional, so you want to have it as low as possible. Fines for gvw/gcw overload goes exponentional too, but not that sharp.

So many timber trucks are on 6axles to reduce axle weights. But as you say this bring extra attention

I think it's the same concept around Europe, the fines for overload of gross weight are so much lower than fines for overloaded axles.

I remember helping once a truck in Belgium, which had overloaded drive axle. He had over 15 tons, and I think the ticket was around 4000 euros .. more than it costs to order truck with baby axle from factory.

Here it becomes more and more popular. So even though I'm based by the see, and we have big container depos, I just sell older trucks, makes no sense to keep trucks and put them on container work.

I know that truck..........wasn't the only one to load 2 20 footers.

Hauling 2 20footers has been done a long time.
Our N A friends don't want to know my record on 6 axles.
