My girlfriend has been driving out of state with her permit with a coworker who is restricted to only operate in our state. Is this legal? Don’t won’t her racking up any psp.

What part of intrastate is so hard to understand? If he is caught driving it's an OOS.

No she is driving with a CLP. She is the driver. He is the CDL holder but intrastate only. He is not driving. How hard is it to read?

She is not legally operating if he is not legal to drive, and they are OUT OF STATE. His license is for INTRASTATE meaning only within the state it is issued. So (a) your writing is so poor as to where they are actively legally driving or (b)you're willfully ignorant of what is legal.

Well why didn’t you say that in your first answer? There is scant info on this anywhere. And I’d love to see more.

Common sense, or reading comprehension goes a long way. To operate while holding a CLP, requires that you have a licensed driver with you. The other driver is licensed for intrastate, which means he is only licensed for the state issued. If you are caught operating without a license that is an OOS violation.

    Speed_Drums and Woodchuck88 Thank this.

A CLP holder has to have someone holding a valid CDL to legally drive.
If the CDL is invalid for any reason, like running interstate loads on an intrastate license, the CLP holder is not legal either.

1st thing that will happen is both will be placed OOS. Then the fines will start rolling in. 100% she needs to get out of that situation now. Not at the end if the day, but now.

The truck they are driving most likely only has a tag to be driven in one state also?
