not necessarily certain places, but certain kinds of places/situations..

Pink Floyd “On The Run”: while on a freeway thru or around a big city at night with light traffic , big lights, big buildings, big bridges and if possible .. tunnels!

Zep “Kashmir”: any wide open spaces at night , on a freeway

Judas Priest “Free Wheel Burnin”: moderate to heavy traffic that’s moving well and everyone’s just jammin along down the road

CCR “up around the bend”: on those back roads/state routes out in the country

    All cranked up to 11!

It's funny you mentioned"Atlantic City". Levon Helms version makes me feel good no matter where I am. I will admit when I'm in Michigan I have a yearning to here Bob Seger.

Jackson Browne has a lot of songs he wrote with truckers in mind, as did Jim Croce who was a trucker before he was a singer. I listen to Sirius radio and have about a dozen classic rock stations I change through depending on what song is playing.
