    They are fishing for your $. Don’t even open those emails. The spam I receive after the govt gives out your contact information when you apply for your DOT number is unreal.

    I know foley is a joke, and the calls and emails I got for the first 2 weeks was brutal. I wasn’t sure if it’s true or not Eveything is going digital though

    No, digital is NOT a current requirement. Paper records are perfectly legal.

    That said, your new entrant audit and most other compliance reviews most likely will be conducted remotely (DOT calls it off-site) and you will be required to scan and uoad specific documents they request.

    Not a huge deal, only a slight hassle but not worth going to a digital file management system with a monthly subscription fee UNLESS you are also looking for them to manage you compliance and make sure you are not missing any records or have expired documents, etc. In that case digital is the way to go as it is super convenient for both parties.
