I was thinking about going to werner when I get my license. The job posting says I can be home daily on a dedicated acount in northeast Florida. They said guaranteed 1,000 a week.
What does a day look like on these types of accounts for a rookie?
Anyone know what a day looks like as a home daily rookie Werner driver?

If's it's a Dollar General account, better reconsider.

Just say “NO!” to crap megas.
Go to work for Publix and work your way into a truck. It might take you a couple of years, but you’ll be set when you do. Hell, you’ll be set anyway. Great outfit to work for.Rideandrepair and Gatordude Thank this. -

Every account operates differently. Is it going to be their Walmart account?
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Werner is a lousy company stay away stay far far away as possible. I drove for them for 2 months , it was a month 2 long. Chinatown was right about if it was
the dollar general account. If you like seriously back breaking work in the hot hot humid heat of the south ...
Just noRideandrepair Thanks this. -
I’m pretty sure it’s the Budweiser account, Werner has had it for years after CCC lost it.

“Home Daily” usually means that you go home after 14-16 hours on the job, and you take your 10 at home. If you have a commute longer than 20 minutes, that gets tiresome. Some home daily gigs will still have you in a sleeper truck. That means that if something happens, like a slow customer or a bad traffic, and you run out of hours, you will have somewhere to stay. So if you have a long commute and a terrible day and terrible weather, the sleeper is always an option.

Maybe some of those are drop and hook accounts.
