I drove a 2019 LT for two years and seriously liked it. I switched over to local and had to move into a 2018 Kenworth T680 and the International was better in every respect. Both around 300k on the odometer.

The International was much quieter, pulled harder (Cummins X-15 vs PACCAR MX-13) shifts smoother, and was just more to my liking. Oh, and the storage above the windshield is much better. Nothing wrong with the storage in the sleeper, and there was enough room for my rather large RV fridge to fit behind the passenger seat.

I have driven Kenworths (T-660 and T-680), and have had very short stints shuttling a couple of Freightliner Cascadias and a Volvo, and I think the late model LT is every bit as good or better than all of them.

International did profound damage to their reputation with the Maxxforce debacle, but these aren’t those trucks.

I have driven both , you need to drive a 238 with a 5 and 2 with 50k of oilfield casing, in Colorado.
Powered out on a hill with a 8v71 4 speed in a trails way eagle bus in SE Oklahoma
A fleet 270 Cummins would put them to shame.

    bzinger and Milr72 Thank this.

I just recently got in a 2019 Cascadia from a 2017 LT and for most things I prefer the Cascadia but come winter I think I’d rather have my International back. It was heavier, the defroster was a beast and the Cummins jake was just way stronger than the one on my Detroit. Before I could take a heavy load across WV and barely use the brake pedal, now in my Cascadia I’m on the brake pedal way more.

Already broke down. The air system isn't building pressure. It's making a knocking noise so I had to shut the engine off. Of course, it has to be 90 and humid. So, now here I sit waiting. More than likely will end up on the hook.

I passed a Knight driver a couple days ago driving an International. I noticed as I passed that his side panels were shaking like crazy, and as I got closer the steer tire was wobbling like a clown car wheel. Looked over at him as I passed and the steering wheel looked like he was fighting to hold it straight like what happens when a steer tire blows out. I honked at him but he ignored me and kept driving. Put some distance between us. Didn't want to be close when that wheel fell off. I debated calling 911 to report him, but just let it go. Hope he didn't kill anybody.
