ive had my class A since december of 2018. ive had 7 jobs in my trucking career and cant find my niche. ive done dry van, reefer, flatbed, and liquid and dry bulk. i have every endorsement and twic. i really liked doing flatbed but... i hurt my wrist and back doing it. my problem now is i need a lot more home time due to my daughters mother comminting suicide. i have to be home a lot more. otr is not an option at all. i also have a company(ATS) falsely reporting to my dac saying that i rolled one of their truck. yes, i disputed the false reports with hire right and gave the accident report. its still on my dac. ive had several companies over look this after i provided the crash report. i just want to make decent money, not be gone all the time and dont feel like im being taken advantage of. im out of metro atlanta, ga... specifically marietta. any suggestions on paths i need to possibly take would greatly be appreciated. all i know is otr :(

i sure did. mechanical failure with the bendix system. no rollover, not at fault, no tickets. ran off road, hit embankment. radar system detected an object that didnt exist in front of vehicle and locked up brakes.

Might consider a slip seat gig. The one I had we worked 6 on 6 off.

Whomever engineered that system needs to be defenestrated immediately.

I'd say do like I do and try out any given food grade or HAZMat company with a daycab attached to it.

Local Craigslist ads, keeping an eye out for daycabs parked at the fuel island and start up a chat with them about their job, making a mental note of just daycabs driving around and doing a search for them on the usual Google and here.

I myself have my TWIC and HAZMat and am doing regional tanker now. But I got onto local tanker out here in Clovis NM after running into a Ruan milk tanker loader while grocery shopping back in Victorville CA in March 2012. 3-4 months later, I packed my goods into a backpack and took a Greyhound out to Clovis NM in July 2012 and was promptly shuttling trailers and loading tankers within two weeks of my arrival. All because I saw a guy wearing a company uniform and asked questions.

I was just in Clovis last week. Do you have to go to Southwest Cheese?
