Unless you park as a bobtail you can always just release your cab brakes and the engine will stay on. How I had idle times in the uper 40s and even hit 50s one month. Usual however after like 6-8 hours the stop engine light will come on and you will have to do a parked regen cause it doesn't regen with the brake released.

I figured out why I get a little red triangle on my Peoplenet in the mornings. I was powering the unit off once I put myself in sleeper status for the night. Just so I didn't have the bombardment of bull#### messages come in until I was ready to clear them...turns out, it gives the system fits when the unit is off and the opti-idle starts and stops and the engine ecm's data for the number of starts and stops doesn't match the ELD's start and stop data (because it was turned off). Left the PN on the other day when I wedged the throttle and idled all night(opti-idle pissed me off really bad, and I didn't care if Lincoln, Deland or Christ allmighty got pissed about it)...and in the morning, no triangle.(and that night was the best night of sleep I've gotten since leaving the house over a month ago)

This is the mentality of the people running the show here. I got preplanned on a load today, and along with the pplan message I get this message. (I want to know how I can arrive at 1300 tomorrow, log a break and be ready to roll at 1300 tomorrow, especially since my current load doesn't deliver until after 6 am tomorrow)
Now, I got this message when the preplan came in, and again after I accepted it. And I will get again when I am dispatched on the load, and once again when I show arriving at the shipper. They must think we all have a major A.D.D. problem or else they're use to dealing with older drivers with dementia who can't remember their own name without help and need to be reminded what they're doing constantly.RussianBearTruckeR, Lonesome and Jarhed1964 Thank this. -

Reminds me of the dollar general DC loads I did for this one warehouse when I was otr on the crete side.
Msg after msg telling me to deliver to the store in town yet the load was a drop at the DC. Always had to wait 2 hours for a drop# cause my dispatcher would keep on insisting I follow the load and check in at the store yet me, the guard at the DC, and the store in town knew this was a DC load and always wondering why we try to deliver it to the store in town.RussianBearTruckeR, Lonesome and Jarhed1964 Thank this. -
