that DriveWyze never worked from day 1. Every time I would boot up the peoplenet I would get a pop up saying how it had crashed. Since I was dedicated for 1.5 years and ran nights and non of the scales were open nights during that whole time, I never bothered letting tech support known. Probably why my peoplenet ran smooth with just a few slowdowns. God forbid you accidently press the same button twice then the whole unit would freeze up and require a hard reset to get it back up and running.

 

The jackwagon who came up with that nonsense should be sentenced to having his alarm clock replaced with an air horn for the rest of his life.

 

I'll be honest, the only time it bothers me is when I have to get out of my truck at a customer scalehouse. You shouldn't set tractor brakes when on a scale. It's not as bad as adjusting tandems, of course, but there is some flexing of the platforms going on when the brakes set on a tractor. I would like to just set trailer brakes, and sometimes when I'm on a tight load, I will ignore the honking and set only tandems. Especially when heading into Cali and I want to be really sure about my steer weights.

Other than that, most of the times that I hear the alarm horn, I probably should have the tractor brakes set.

 

A full third of the time I close my driver door and release my brakes to get rolling that “safety system” starts honking like mad.

If the door doesn’t correctly close correctly when using force then a honking alarm isn’t what’s needed. What’s needed is a better engineered door, Drives me absolutely insane.

 

Your door position sensor is likely damaged or misaligned. Most of them are magnetic switches if memory serves correctly. This shouldn't be too bad to get fixed.

 

I always wondered...do they make you follow their routes? When I was otr and then dedicated I always choice my own route to the customer.
