Lots of reefer customers have no interest in seals on the door. Some customer treat seals like CSI technicians treat blood stains. Most could not care less about them.

It wouldn't bother me if they just set those trucks on fire.

The offender apparently did that. But when the truck behind the offender finished fueling he had to back out to leave.

A reefer seal is a refrigerated (mostly) fresh water mammal.

"I don't know what those big words mean, but I'm gonna take it as a sign of disrespect."

Had a buddy that said that all the time. Cracked me up.

This is true. I have had some surprise me by not looking at mine. Just know though that the ones that do can be anal when it comes to having them on. In most instances, these places will reject the load and I have seen times when only the shipper could fix it. I might also add that this subject is why some shippers use these "bolt seals" you have to use bolt cutters to get them off. I have sat on docks waiting on someone to come out and cut mine off. I learned a long time ago to add bolt cutters into my toolbox.

I’d say about 80% of the places I go to do not even check the seal.
The seal was broken on a load I took to Walmart DC and the security guard didn’t care because they put their own seal on it anyway. If there’s a problem with missing items or shortages, they’ll take it up with the shipper.

I retired in Dec 2012, so I have not made any recent deliveries to Walmart. I am puzzled a bit by that they will put their own seals on it remark? Over my time driving, I delivered to many Walmart DC all across the US and never remember having them take my seal off and replacing it with theirs. I might also add I can't ever remember security not caring about a seal. As I said, I have not been in one since late 2012.
