I did. A little dab of silicone around the bolt head should do it I think, but still. Wish I'd ordered the one made by Breedlove Mounts, and I might yet.
Not too happy with the initial antenna match either. I would have thought it would have been better. (1.66 on 27.205) I can move that up and down in freq, but can't get it any lower.) I haven't had time to experiment with other antennas. It may not get any better and I'm not moving the mount. I will live with whatever I can get in its present location. A 4.5' SkipShooter puts me at 13'6". I wouldn't care to go a little longer if I use a Wilson or similar with a SS whip. I stuck a Wilson with 10" shaft on it and it was pretty much flat, but at about a 2:1 SWR. I haven't made any adjustments with that antenna to see if it would get worse or better.

Had the same water problem with hustler antennas, great antennas, had mine right down to a 1.1-1 and on freq with my rig expert analyzer
Got sick of dealing with the water so went with the Stryker SR2k, have decent Numbers on the analyzer and no water problems

    Timin770 Thanks this.
