So I kinda abandoned this thread. Sorry about that. With running hard. I started slacking. But here is my update.

Currently not driving. I'm back home in Florida getting ready to start chemo in the next couple of weeks.

I started having some stomach issues in May. Thought it was acid reflux. But when I was running through NM on my way to CA. I ended up so dehydrated that I had to go to the hospital via ambulance.

Learned that I have stage IV pancreatic cancer. Was in the hospital from 6/13-6/29. Company was good about repowering my load, recovering my truck, and inventorying my belongings.

The cancer doctor in NM said she gave me 2 years left. But luckily the doctor I am seeing in FL doesn't think that way. He believes it's early enough stage IV to cure.

Depending on how things go. I should be back in a truck by around 18 months. Maybe sooner.

My company has been good to me during all of this time. But I'm not sure if I will be going back there. Since I don't have a full year under my belt and I will be out of a truck for a year. I'm guessing no matter where I go. I'll end up having to do orientation with a trainer. But hopefully for an abbreviated time frame.

Glad to hear you’re getting treatment so you can get back to driving. Praying that you make a swift recovery. Being married to a cancer survivor myself I can tell you that disease is a scourge. Wife lost one of her best friends 2 months ago to it and it’s been a rough road.
Having said that-WIPE THAT F***** OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH!!

Btw, just some words of encouragement here. My neighbor was told he had 6 months to live with stage IV lung cancer. That was 9 years ago. Also, my Dad beat cancer 4 different times.

Some more encouragement. My mother in law was diagnosed with breast cancer 40 years ago, the family was told to make plans for the inevitable. She lived 27 years past the 1 year she was given. She outlived her doctors.
