How much drop and hook realistically? I know I could read the whole thread to get the answer I'm sure and again just wanna hear it from the drivers. What are the main customers?

I do know they have quite of bit of drop and hook as i see their trailers at quite a few locations…also keep this in mind also that even if customers are drop and hook some places logistically behind due to more than likely manpower issues but other than that you shouldn’t have many issues…

Are you sure you are talking about the right company? I am not aware of a sign on Bonus.... As far as miles I ran real close to 38000 miles last quarter. I have ran a load from CA all the way to both NJ and GA, so the miles are definitely there.

Do they have regular loads like that consistantly? How long have you been there? I just wanna know what I'm going into ya know. Do you burn your hours all of them weekly? That's my goal

Those coast to coast runs happen just by being in the right place when they come up. I have done it about 4 or 5 times. I have been here almost a year and a half. My shortest week so far was 2008 miles, when I spent 4 days at home. Ran 700 miles per day right out of the chute. I can routinely get 3300 miles on weeks I take a restart. If I dont get held up by traffic/weather/fires/####### customers...etc, I run 4000+ one week, then 3000-3300 the next week for about a month an a half. Several times, I get to a point where I get a restart done before I get back ANYTHING on recap. Sometimes I don't feel like running that hard. Unless I go home, a "slow" week here beats the average most every other place I have ever been.

Excellent Zodiac. That's what I'm looking for I'm not looking to get home every weekend. I live within 20 miles of Milwaukee do you have freight that goes in this area regularly I wonder for when it is time to go home. Someone on Facebook told me they get the trucks in the shop every 8000 miles is that true and if it is how effeciant are they getting you back on the road?

I will drop in Joliet IL and be sent either into Chicago or up to WI for a load running back to NE… so running a bit out of route for home time shouldn’t be an issue, especially if you are out for a few weeks at a time.

Shops are, in my opinion, EXCELLENT here!!!

If you call to schedule your 8k, they will turn you around pretty quickly. If it’s going to be a longer stay due to more scheduled items needing to be done to your truck, ive been given a heads up before showing up that it will take longer. There are a couple company cars available to run quick errands Etc while you wait on your Truck too.

And there are nice showers and washer/dryers available at each Shop, so you can still be a bit productive with your down time too.

I’ve said it before, the Shops treat the Drivers as if we are the ones writing the checks. Friendly, keep you in the loop on issues, willing to answer your questions, etc.

The Shops take pretty good care of our equipment which means fewer issues OTR. I’ve had a few things happen OTR, you can’t avoid them completely but they are normally minor issues. The Shops touch the Trucks every 8k and Trailers every 8 weeks. (Although in one of the newer Driver Testimonies on YouTube he says every 3 months which I think is more realistic at times)

I don’t run as hard as others here but if you are running your truck good you should expect to burn your clocks every week. I’ve occasionally run on recaps for a few days to get home but each time I could have run a bit harder the prior week and forced a reset too.

They will try very hard to match the freight to your driving preferences so that you are running when you are at your best. Doesn’t always happen but they do try. If you run nights, they will set you up to run those hours.

Run what they give you and communicate with your DM and you will find your rhythm. There is also no need to be confrontational with the Office like at other places. They will probably tell you in Orientation that they will never yell at you, and they expect the same professionalism in return.

When are you scheduled to come on?

    dwells40 and BigR Thank this.
