I just went. They went off my actual weight (55k), and my trip was 377 miles. To give you an idea, it was $53.

Lady said if I wanted to be heavier or change my route to just give them a call.

I called before their regular hours, and I didn't even have to wait. An actual person answered the phone!

Can't get that kind of service in the NE, especially from a gubberment agency.

You cruise through the corner on way to Washington?

Did you have to carry a paper copy of permit or just have an electronic copy?

I’m headed there tomorrow. Pickup just a few miles from the house.

The bond fee isn't bad, it's the 21.5 cents per mile that's the killer in Oregon. I'm up there almost every week, and a round trip north to south load adds $144 to my costs for the trip. So yeah, it has to pay well to make it all worth it. They don't charge fuel tax at the pump if you buy the annual permit and that helps offset the high mileage fee.

If you have a single or annual trip permit number, give that to the fuel clerk before you pump to get the lowered pretax price.

D.Tibbitt, 86scotty and staceydude Thank this.
