DOT rolls into repair shop lot to do inspections & issue tickets

I like when they pull truck to shoulder for inspection and then get hit by car.

 

The four ways being on, could've been from an inspection just finished.
Still it's a terrible reason for an inspection since he's safely parked and waiting for repair. A negative CSA inspection not needed for safety.

 

It's illegal for truckers to park on the shoulder, but not illegal for DOT to do truck inspections on the shoulder.
Proves that's a power hungry, money grab.

 

It is legal to park a truck on the shoulder, with proper safety devices displayed.

Tell the managers to kick them off the property. Nobody called them their. I've done it once before when montana dot showed up at the truck stop giving drivers inspections. Manager kicked them off the property or they would call the cops for trespassing. Id love to see a cop arrest a dot guy

 

If I owned a shop, I'd kick the DOT off my property if they showed up.

Yes, but not legal if there's no truck breakdown. DOT is just being a jerk and could have, at least, instructed the driver to a safe place for an inspection.

I wonder if they got a phone call from the ‘concerned public’ about the truck limping to the repair shop?
