Why is country music stereotypically synonymous with trucking?

So lifes not fair and its another generations fault?? Your explanation is exactly the problem with current generations not the past ones, no one has the ability to suck it up and make their own decisions always blaming the past....no one held a gun to your head to take out loans you couldn't afford for college....thats ones own responsibility to research....

Whose gonna be at fault when current home prices level out and everyone's upside down again like 08? Banks again or idiots overpaying?

I guess it's the demographics from way back when, and that group set the standard of what a trucker is. Now it's more diverse, and much of the industry hasn't evolved in their image. I really don't know lol, I'm speculating.

Well I mean there had to be truckers hired from the big cities way back when too, no? Some bloke too broke for college, but too introverted to work with others in a factory. They'd see those big trucks rolling to/from the warehouses and railyards and would immediately inquire.

I'm just saying that's how I kind of got into it. My adoptive dad was a schoolteacher and my mom was a caregiver with a biology degree. They tried pretty hard to get me to go down the academic path. But ultimately, I never got along much with anyone and barely graduated. College comes along and I feel like everyone was too interested in "saving the world" and dreaming way outside of their box as opposed to just passing the class.

Too many instances of telling people to stuff it or jump off a bridge ended that pretty quickly. So if I'm going to identify with any country singer, I'll say that Johnny Cash always had the best lyrics to match my demeanor.

As an Asian American that was more or less raised in predominantly white neighborhoods, I kind of had to make up my own identity. Didn't get along or clique with any given race or background. Just treated everyone the same and didn't talk for too long with anyone. Never had many friends growing up and still don't to this day. I feel my social isolation and general aloofness may have also cost me any chance at a relationship. Potential woman gets talked too, sees me as friendly enough. But when I start talking about Unsolved Mysteries, or where "the lost Dutchman hid their gold" they took that as a red flag and they were long gone.

I may get into some other career further down the road. But at 38, I feel a good chunk of my book is written and I'm just a lone, gun for hire jumping onto the next dust storm that my life encounters. Yippee Kai Truth is Out there!!

    That's the beauty of music..
While it may be made for a particular demographic, it is not excluded from any others that like it.

Every genre will have that one hit that someone outside of it will like.

I listen to a little bit of everything. Even some country but not the sad type of country songs. I like some older hip hop from the 90s-early 2000s. Can't do the new stuff tho where you can't even make out the words their saying. And most of em don't even write their own songs.
