Need a route out of Seattle heading to Huntsville Alabama. 15 wide 15-9 tall 78 long, no weight.
Haven’t been up there in 7 years, last time I came out 15-6 tall , no width, went down 5 to Portland down to SLC. I know 84 has lots of restrictions In Utah.
If you know a pole car from the area it might help. Thanks.

I really can't help much, but you may look into I84 to I86 to 30 to I80, once you get to Idaho and avoid Utah altogether. Highway 30 is a good route.

I86 and I15 around Pocatello will be a bit of a problem at 15'9" high. there may be a high load route around the few overpasses that I remember but I have not been around there with anything over 14'2"

    cke Thanks this.

    Off-on ramps
No overpasses on 15 between 86 and 30, and I believe all on 86 have been raised. If any are still low between Poky and American Falls they have off ramps / on ramps. I should look at my permit on vertical clearances to be sure.

Hwy 26 from Idaho Falls to Alpine and Rock Springs is a military high route, but it is a bit narrow and windy along Palisades.

    Thanks for the help.
Last time I went up 5 at 15-6 I had to get off and go through a town, don’t think I did on the way back with same load. It was just tall, legal width.

30 is a good road but I'm not sure 15 wide would be allowed down it. Of course, since I've never ran wide loads I might be surprised where they send them. Lol. I also haven't been across 30 in a few years.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

I just passed a 20' wide on 30... according to the pole car driver anyway.

I thought oversized permits told you what route to take.

A lot of choices between Seattle and Alabama though.

I have run 14'6" wide on 30 from I80 to I15 but that was 15 years ago or so.

    RStewart and Oxbow Thank this.
