That's why they're called the Freightshaker Crapcadia

Yup! The last freightliner I drove was a 2016 cascadia that I got brand new. Windshield leaked and both doors leaked from the get go. Had it in our shop and two different dealerships multiple times and no one could figure it out.

    Good riddance to that truck.

No, not all. Some leak at the bottom instead.

It would be a very good idea to have leaks fixed at a pro. windshield shop that handle that problem every day, not a shop that will take a tube of sealer and put around the outside of windshield seal, If leaks aren't fixed, ele. problems will be not far off?

No but the pos adaptive cruise cuts out and I lose all throttle control.
Real fun when you’re crossing three lanes of traffic

I’ve had that issue where it rains and I have to deal with some drips inside.

Remember, they are assembled in Mexico. It doesn’t rain much there in northern Mexico.

That’s what I have done, every new western star that comes into the fleet has the windshield removed and resealed. The shop we use gets notified when we get a delivery date so they have new gaskets and/or sealer in stock, they come out and do the work fast. Not one leak after that.

freightliner knows about these issues and doesn’t do anything to help fix it.

Rideandrepair, tscottme and Kyle G. Thank this.

Are you sure it's the windshield? Cascadia's are notorious for leaking around the marker lights that go across the top of the cab. The water will drip/pour in next to the windshield. Every time you change a cab top marker light make sure it comes with a new rubber gasket and use silicone on both sides of it.
