Well the genset was an easy fix. Since day one. If you left the generator alone for 6 months. The carb would dry out, as it did so it would open the float for more fuel. The fuel pump on small engines is only a diaphram. The fuel line will drain past the fuel pump and the fuel will drain to the fuel tank under the generator.

A simple boat type squeeze bulb fuel primer and it is back in business. Now in the future, I just need to remember to squeeze the bulb until firm, Then I can turn her on.

    LOL that sounds so sexual

A solution to that type problem is to just crank it once a month, run 5 minutes, shut down. Similar to lawn mowers. Mower don't know if it is grass cutting time or not. Fishing on rainy day..? Fish is wet all time, unconcerned with rain.
So ignore the season, weather, power loss or not. Crank it, run it, always ready.(Like aunt Hetty)

He lost 3 gallons. That's a lot. Idk what area would have a lot of pressure to cause it to leak that much.

Three gallons would have made one heck of a mess.

But its fixed now. Also the squeeze bulb has two check valve in it that will stop the fuel from going down the fuel line
