Not going to Texas. Not that I wouldn't like it, but too many Commiefornia people moving there. Eventually it'll be like where they left.

Definitely Newark or ATLANTA has to be the worst as far as driving and congestion..... Chicago gets worse than New York at times for no reason...

Drove to the east coast a couple weeks ago for the first time in many years. Beside the heat and humidity, you forget just how much slower paced things are back there compared to the west. Out here you can pull into a truck stop and park in front of the pumps for a bathroom break or to grab a quick sandwich. Not back east. Every time I tried it east of the Mississippi, the lines were long and the people working were moving so slow, there was no way to do anything quick.

I liked those small towns on the western end of I-80 in Wyoming, but kept being drawn back to Nevada and Texas. I really like the Southwest.Trucker61016 Thanks this. -
Kind of a hijack, but since you guys are on the subject, what about Missouri? Flatbed freight out of Kansas City looks great, and a house with land is very reasonable. Any shortcomings to that state?
bzinger, Trucker61016 and spindrift Thank this.
